Builder Base and the 6th builder

The 6th builder is unlocked in the Builder Base, so his plan lives there. After this chapter you can switch villages, tell what is different over there, and follow the checklist, the troop pick and the date that lead to B.O.B.

Switch between your two villages

Under the village button sits the switch Home Village | Builder Base. It shows the other village of the same player, and Home, Base, Plan and Progress all follow it. ClashClock opens on the Home Village every time, so tap Builder Base again after a reload. One export fills both villages (Import your village).

The ClashClock header. The village button shows BH 9, the name Your Village, the label Demo village and a hammer badge with 1. Share and dark mode buttons sit to its right, and below it the switch Home Village | Builder Base has Builder Base selected.
With Builder Base selected the village button reads BH 9, the Builder Hall level. At home it reads TH and the Town Hall level. The hammer badge counts the free builders of the village on show.

What is different in the Builder Base

Home in the Builder Base: Master Builder available, 1 free. The Master Builders group holds a running Builder Hall upgrade and the plan's suggestion to start Guard Post 1 to 2. Below are the Star Laboratory row with a Beta Minion upgrade, the Clock Tower card at level 8 with a Boost started button, and the Clock Tower Potion row.
Home in the Builder Base. Master Builders lists the builders and, while one is free, what the plan starts next. Star Laboratory is the lab. The Clock Tower card shows its level, the length of its boost and whether it is available.
  • Builder Hall. It does the Town Hall's job and shows as BH in the header, on Base and on Progress.
  • Master Builders. At most three: the Master Builder, O.T.T.O. once his outpost stands (Builder Hall 6), and B.O.T.O., bought with gems. They also upgrade the Battle Machine and the Battle Copter. The timeline names their lanes M1 to M3. Bought B.O.T.O. after your last export? Tap + B.O.T.O under the list.
  • Star Laboratory. It researches Builder Base troops, one upgrade at a time. There is no Pet House and there are no helpers.
  • Clock Tower. One boost runs every running upgrade at 10× for a few minutes (28 min at level 8, which saves 252 min). Start it in the game, then tap Boost started. ClashClock assumes a 22-hour cooldown, a number it has not confirmed. The Clock Tower Potion row logs the 30-minute potion, which has none.
  • Gear-ups. Your Cannon, Archer Tower and Mortar at home can be geared up. You pay in Home Village Gold, but a Master Builder does it, so he is busy for days.

The Plan tab of the Builder Base

It has the views of The Plan tab: Schedule, Builders (only in Own) and Forecast. Your offline hours and your Gold Pass answer count here too. Only the strategies differ, and a new Builder Base starts on 6th builder.

The Strategy block on the Builder Base with three buttons: 6th builder (selected), Max and Own. The line under them reads: Only the steps that unlock B.O.B. and the 6th builder.
The three strategies. The sentence under them changes with the button.
ButtonWhat the plan does
6th builderOnly the steps that unlock B.O.B., in the order below, plus what they wait for.
MaxEverything of your Builder Hall maxed, the most important first.
OwnOnly the steps you add, in your order, as in the Home Village.

On Max or Own the 6th builder card stays at the top, and a line under it offers Switch to 6th builder.

The seven requirements

B.O.B. moves into your Home Village once B.O.B. Control, a Builder Base building, reaches level 5. With all five Builder's Huts he is the sixth builder. How to unlock the 6th builder lists the seven requirements with the halls they need, and what the three gear-ups cost. Here is how ClashClock checks them.

The 6th builder card: 0 of 7 done, a large ≈ 4 mo, the totals 38M Builder Gold, 115.8M Builder Elixir and 14.6M Gold, and + Home Village: 25 d 23 h. Under Requirements are seven rows: Gear up Cannon, Gear up Archer Tower and Gear up Mortar, each reading not possible yet, then A troop at level 18 (Baby Dragon, 9 / 18), A defence at level 9 (1 / 9), Heroes combined level 45 (1 / 45) and B.O.B. Control level 5 (0 / 5). The Cannon row is highlighted.
The card in a village whose B.O.B. is still locked. The highlighted row is the first requirement that is not met; the rest are dimmed.
  • 0 of 7 done counts the requirements that are met.
  • ≈ 4 mo is the time until B.O.B. Control reaches level 5 in your plan. What it assumes is explained below.
  • Under it is what is still to pay, without upgrades that already run. + Home Village is the time of the Home Village steps in the path: the gear-ups and the levels they ask for.
  • Each row says what is missing, such as “Cannon 6/7 · Double Cannon 3/4”. The (i) beside Requirements explains gear-ups.

The three gear-ups

Cannon, Archer Tower and Mortar cost 1, 3 and 6 million Gold and take 2, 7 and 14 days. Each needs a Home Village defence and a Builder Base building at set levels, such as Cannon 7 with the Double Cannon at 4. The end of the row says where it stands.

The row saysIt means

The 6th builder card of a village that has met some requirements: 3 of 7 done, ≈ 2 mo, the totals 31.4M Builder Gold, 42.8M Builder Elixir and 13.5M Gold, and + Home Village: 23 d 21 h. Under Requirements, Gear up Cannon has a full green bar and the word done. Gear up Archer Tower (Archer Tower 5/10 · BB Archer Tower 3/6) is highlighted and reads not possible yet. Gear up Mortar (Mortar 2/8 (TH 10 needed, TH 9 now) · Multi Mortar 1/8) is dimmed and also reads not possible yet. A troop at level 18 (Baby Dragon, 9 / 18) has an arrow. A defence at level 9 and Heroes combined level 45 (Battle Machine 30 + Battle Copter 15) are green at 9 / 9 and 45 / 45. B.O.B. Control level 5 reads 3 / 5.
A village with three requirements met. The Cannon gear-up reads done, met rows turn green, and the highlighted row is the first requirement that is not met.
  1. Start it

Start the gear-up in the game, then tell ClashClock. When the plan has a gear-up next for a free Master Builder, Home offers Start gear-up. An import also picks up a running one.

  2. Confirm it

When its countdown on Home ends, the card turns green. Tap Gear-up done and the row is ticked off.

ClashClock cannot always tell from the export that a gear-up is finished. If you finished one earlier and its row still reads Done?, tap the row to tick it, and tap again to undo. Once B.O.B. has moved in, all three count as done.

The other four

  • A troop at level 18. Any troop counts, so one that already stands at 18 answers it. Otherwise you pick one (next section).
  • A defence at level 9. ClashClock takes one you already have at 9, otherwise the one that gets there in the least upgrade time. In the made-up village's screenshots it is the Multi Mortar, which the Mortar gear-up needs anyway.
  • Heroes combined level 45. ClashClock tries every split between the Battle Machine and the Battle Copter and takes the one with the least upgrade time. “Battle Copter Altar missing” means it builds the altar first.
  • B.O.B. Control level 5. It needs Builder Hall 9 and has no build time in the game files, so the plan treats its levels as gates: level 2 waits for the gear-ups, 3 for the troop, 4 for the defence, 5 for the heroes.

Pick the troop

  1. Open the sheet

Tap A troop at level 18. The row shows an arrow until a troop stands at 18.

  2. Choose

Tap a troop. The sheet closes and the date and totals follow your pick. quickest marks the troop that reaches 18 in the least upgrade time. A troop the Barracks cannot train yet (“Needs Builder Barracks 8”) is a fine pick: the plan upgrades the Barracks and the Star Laboratory first.

The sheet Troop for level 18. A line says the plan upgrades the Builder Barracks and Star Laboratory as far as the troop needs. Below are twelve troops: Raged Barbarian, Sneaky Archer, Boxer Giant, Beta Minion, Bomber and Baby Dragon with their levels, then six that read Needs Builder Barracks 7 to 12: Cannon Cart, Night Witch, Drop Ship, Power P.E.K.K.A, Hog Glider and Electrofire Wizard. Baby Dragon is ticked and marked quickest.
The tick is your pick. Here the Baby Dragon is both the pick and the quickest. In your village another troop can be the quickest.

ClashClock starts you on the Baby Dragon because you can attack with it all the way up, not because it is fastest. From a fresh Builder Base, eleven of the twelve troops reach 18 within 3 % of each other's total work (the numbers), so choose the one you want to use. In the made-up village's screenshots the Night Witch would add two Barracks levels and about 2M each of Builder Gold and Builder Elixir.

The order of the path

With 6th builder selected, the Schedule is the path to B.O.B., and a free builder takes the earliest step it can start. The order itself, from the gear-ups that are ready to B.O.B. Control last, is written out in How to unlock the 6th builder. ClashClock follows it, and you steer two things: the troop (see Pick the troop, above) and the gear-ups you have already done, which you tick off on their rows (see The three gear-ups, above).

The Schedule of the Builder Base as a queue (the Timeline | Queue switch has Queue selected), grouped Tomorrow and This week. Each row names a step and ends with its time and worker: M1 and M2 for the Master Builders, Lab for the Star Laboratory. Under Tomorrow are Clock Tower 4 to 5 (running), Multi Mortar 1 to 2, Builder Hall 5 to 6 (running), Clock Tower 5 to 6, Star Laboratory 5 to 6, Baby Dragon 8 to 9 (running) and Baby Dragon 9 to 10. Under This week, all on M2 on Wed 14, are Elixir Storage Build new and 1 to 2, then Gold Storage Build new and 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 3 to 4.
The first days of the path in the made-up village. Read the right-hand column: M1 and M2 are the Master Builders, Lab is the Star Laboratory, which climbs the Baby Dragon one level after another. Builder Hall, Clock Tower and storage rows sit before the steps that need them. The two Build new rows are storages the path puts down itself.

Before a step the path adds what it needs: a Builder Hall level, a storage when a price does not fit, and Clock Tower levels only when they pay back their build time before B.O.B. arrives. A Build new row in the picture is such a storage: the plot is empty, so the path builds it before it upgrades it. The planner also assumes that every building a hall level opens must stand before the next level, so further down the queue Build new rows appear that B.O.B. does not ask for, such as Army Camps. How ClashClock works covers the 6th builder in its own section.

A gear-up sits on the first Master Builder's lane, M1, as soon as its Builder Base building is high enough. The plan assumes you have raised the Home Village defence by then: those levels are counted under + Home Village but not scheduled.

What the date assumes

The large date is not a sum of days. It is the moment B.O.B. Control reaches level 5 in the planner's schedule, which counts your builders, the Star Laboratory beside them, your offline hours and your Gold Pass answer. Forecast repeats it as B.O.B. unlocked, under the date for the hall you stand on (“BH6 maxed in …”), which is a different question.

  • Your builders today. One who joins later, O.T.T.O. or B.O.T.O., is not in the date until he is in your village.
  • The Clock Tower. Its boost counts only at the level that stands when the plan is worked out. A level the plan still has to build adds nothing to its own date, so early on the date is on the long side. It moves forward once the level stands and you confirmed it on Home with Set to level N. The plan also assumes you use each boost as soon as it is ready and you are online.

What the whole path costs from a fresh Builder Base is in What does the 6th builder (B.O.B.) really cost?. The two heroes alone are 41 % of the Master Builder's work.

When B.O.B. Control is done

ClashClock learns that B.O.B. has moved in from your export, which then lists his hut, so import again after you have played. The card shrinks to “B.O.B. is unlocked.”, the three gear-ups count as done, and Home counts him in Builders n of m busy, so the Home Village plan gets one more lane. The 6th builder button stays, but the plan now runs like Max.

Common questions

The row says “not possible yet”, but the schedule has the gear-up

The row waits for both levels. The schedule places the gear-up as soon as the Builder Base building is high enough, because the Home Village level is yours to raise. Raise the defence at home, and Done? shows once the gear-up can really be done.

Why do I see two dates?

The date on the card is B.O.B. Control at level 5. The line under the Schedule, “BH6 maxed in …”, is the date the Max plan reaches for the hall you stand on. Both are in Forecast.

Next, set up reminders so a finished upgrade finds you.
